Do you charge joining fees?
No, we don’t charge joining fees.
How do I apply?
Apply by filling out this form – we will respond to you within seven business days.
What is the application process?
Once we receive your application, we will ask you to do an audition. We may/may not proceed to a follow-up interview which is the final step in the process.
Please note; the interview does not guarantee entry into our agency.
What do I need to prepare for the audition?
We send you the audition instructions and material. We ask that you are off-book when you do the audition.
What are the requirements for actors once they join your agency?
We work with talent on all levels of talent starting with those interested but with no experience all. If you are considering a career in acting, you will need ongoing training. If you are expecting to become a Hollywood actor, please note, it’s not a linear journey and nothing happens overnight, you must commit to the process in order to see results.
It is also important to note that you must be able to commit to auditions. These may fall inside school hours as most auditions run during business hours. If you are unable to get to auditions during school hours, please do not apply to this agency at this point in time.
Which states in Australia do you represent talent?
We represent talent all over Australia.
Do I need to pay any money once I am represented by your agency?
We do not charge joining fees. Any talent agency that asks for a joining fee or an admin fee is a scam.
The only costs you will need to incur are industry standard actor headshots and the industry standard profiles which is discussed during the interview.
Once represented by the agency, it is our business to guide you into which courses and training to take. Courses suggested by the agency are not compulsory, however, are highly recommended due to the competitive nature of the industry and skills required to perform during auditions.
Do I need to sign a contract?
Yes.
Can I have more than one agent?
No, it is unethical to have more than one agency represent you.
How do I know if you’re the right agent for me?
We interview all talent to ensure we are the right fit for them.
Which reputable actors have you represented in the past/Which roles have they landed?
We have obtained many auditions for actors, please visit our IG for updates.
Our actors have landed roles in Disney, 20th Century Fox and many commercials, including Hungry Jacks, Woolworths and Big W to name a few!
Since we have just launched Oh Jackie O, our mission is to develop actors so they can feel confident during their auditions. Nothing happens overnight.
We have access to all the casting notices in Australia and Los Angeles. We put our actors forward to all suitable roles. It is up to the casting director to ask you in for an audition, we can’t control who they shortlist, however, we have solid relationships with casting directors around the globe which give our actors an advantage hence why they received so many auditions for our actors.
Jackie has worked as a casting director for more than 10 years which gives our agency a competitive edge, expertise and knowledge that the other agents have not acquired.
At the end of the day, the actor needs to nail the audition – another component that we can’t control however, we guide our actors so they are confident when they walk into that audition room, providing them with extraordinary opportunities.
It is an extremely competitive industry but we won’t give up on you as long as you work equally hard!
Jackie has travelled back and forth between Australia and Los Angeles and has met the following top agencies:
- CAA
- UTA
- Management 360
- APA
- Gersh
- ICM
- Paradigm
- Innovative Artists
- AAA
- Don Buchwald & Associates
Jackie has also met with the casting teams at the following biggest studios:
- CBS
- Warner Bros
- Disney
- VH1
- ABC
- 20th Century Fox
We only represent a small amount of actors at any given time so that we can dedicate the time and resources to each of our actors in this very competitive industry.
What advice do you have for someone who can’t get an agent?
Train. Train. Train. and network! Sign up to J-School and you will learn everything you need to know about becoming an actor, applying to get an agent, upping your chances for an audition, navigating auditions and more.
Can I call you before I submit my application?
We receive hundreds applications on a weekly basis and do not have capacity to take phone calls from actors who are not currently on our roster.
The best thing to do is to submit an application to receive an audition test. Once you send us your audition test and if we believe you are the right fit for our agency, we will schedule a phone call.
What type of roles will you put me forward to?
We submit our actors to types of roles! Including roles in Australian and worldwide feature films, T.V. series and T.V commercials.
In the past we have secured auditions including Netflix, Percy Jackson, Stan, ABC, NBC, Neighbours, Home and Away, Heart Break High, Universal Studios — so in other words, we receive casting briefs on the best projects in Australia and around the globe.
If you are a T.V commercial actor, we will submit you to local T.V. commercials only. If you start out as a T.V commercial actor on our books, but you want to become a film or T.V series actor, we will guide you in the right direction to do so. Please note; these things do not happen over night so you need to commit to lots of acting training to reach your goals.
